CMS give
you 3 of the best priced online solicitor quotes that are easy to understand.
All
disbursements
are listed and the total price plus
disbursements is added up for you
showing the total payable. CMS
constantly monitor other online competitor websites. We
have found that the majority advertising unrealistically
low fees from £120 charge extra for items
listed above (which CMS include for free). Most charge extra if you
have a
mortgage
plus other extras
increasing their best solicitor quote by up to £200.
Always
insist upon a fully comprehensive quotation in writing and
ensure you read the full

(CMS can explain these as part
of our service).
All of our online solicitors
sign a legal agreement to abide by the quotes we provide, not to charge "hidden
extras" and also to provide the level of service published in our Service

solicitor will be qualified, experienced, pro-active, IT literate, able to
communicate effectively and have a friendly and helpful personality.

one owner to another. Your online conveyancing will be carried out by a specialist employed by one of the CMS panel solicitors. All of our panel firms
are approved and regularly checked by CMS. All firms are
members of the Law Society or Council for Licensed Conveyancers
(you will find their contact details in our Links section) and
all carry at least £1,000,000 worth of indemnity insurance for the
protection of their clients. You can relax knowing that CMS have
done all the hard work of checking online solicitor credentials and
service provision leaving you to get on with the business of
moving house.

Our Directors have between them almost 60 years
of experience of working in the conveyancing
industry and we know what we are looking for in
a good conveyancing firm. We insist that our
conveyancing solicitors are registered with the
Law Society or the CLC. Every conveyancing firm
must have at least two partners and be on the
panel of all major mortgage lenders. We insist that a dedicated and
named solicitor is appointed to take care of
CMS clients and every solicitor must be
qualified to carry out their services.
A Mortgage
is a type of loan granted by a bank or a building society, usually
known as the Lender or Mortgagor. The mortgage is usually granted
for a long period, traditionally 25 years, and this period is known
as the Mortgage Term. The Borrower, also known as the Mortgagee,
offers his property as security for the loan. The Borrower
signs a legal document, known as a Mortgage or Legal Charge, which
then secures the property to the Lender for the period of the
Mortgage. The Legal Charge is registered at the Land Registry and
appears in the Charges Register of the owner’s legal title. Online
conveyancer firms offer
are cheap fixed fees.
